I love lists and I love music. When I saw that some young whippersnapper, born in 1977, compiled a list of his favorite albums for every year that he lived, I thought, that’s for me! But damn it’s a lot of work. It’s also very difficult to pick just one album per year when in some years, there are just impossible picks to narrow to one. I struggled with Nirvana’s Nevermind and Massive Attack’s Blue Lines. 1967 & 1968 were near impossible, as so much great music came from that era. But it’s now done for your perusal and criticism.
How would you like to own all of these albums? Well, in this contest you can. I will bundle all 53 albums onto a thumb drive and send it the winner. Here’s what you need to do. If you link to this post and comment with your link and your 5 favorite albums, you will be entered 10 times. If you leave a comment with your top 5 favorite albums, you will be entered once. I will select a winner at random on Friday, Oct. 9, 2008. If this post gets more than 500 hits, I will select 2 winners, 1000 hits gets 4 winners. Easy right?
